ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome to my teaching portfolio!

My name is Maya and I am in my last year of the Early Childhood & Elementary Education program at McGill University.

If you were to ask me the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"A shy 7-year-old girl would have responded, "A teacher."

I have wanted to become a teacher for a very long time. Some of my earliest childhood memories are flashbacks of me playing teacher and forcing my siblings to be the cooperative students.

It is safe to say that I am very excited to soon live my dream of finally becoming a teacher!

Below are a few fun facts about me.

1.I sing, play guitar, and ukulele.

2.I enjoy long walks with my dog, Tally.

3.I am a food adventurer who loves to cook and try new restaurants in and around Montreal.

4. I am passionate about Art History, specfically children in art. Prior to my studies at McGill, I studied Art History at Concordia University and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2012.
