MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy of teaching is constructed from my own beliefs and learning experiences.

I have a desire to make a difference in a child’s life and instill a passion for learning.

A teacher’s ability to transmit knowledge to others is a vital role in modern society.

In simple words, we need education to function.

The ability to learn is an equal opportunity for all.

With that being said, the importance to educate should be one that goes beyond the classroom; learning can develop from everyday experiences.

I am a compassionate and determined individual who believes that learning is a two-way street; students and teachers can learn from one another.

My goal as an educator is to create an enriched and safe environment where students have the ability to express themselves while caring for each other. The role of a teacher is to create a platform for students to gain insight on the world.

        I would like to
influence the minds of young children in a creative way.

I believe that a classroom should be a space where children can learn in a wide variety of methods- from visual, auditory to kinesthetic.

I would like students to explore how they learn by understanding their own abilities.

As a mentor, I will emphasize how good things do in fact take time.

One of the greatest lessons I have learnt is accepting failure, which is something that every child should experience.

It will be my duty to illustrate to students how defeat is not the end, but rather an opportunity to try again.

This reiterates the fact that nothing in life comes easy; yet going through these challenges while being honest with your self makes an individual so much stronger. There is always light at the end of the tunnel; it is just a matter of seeing it.

Education is about learning about not only the world that is around us, but who we are as individuals.
